Reporting Concerns

The Police and Crime Commissioner is not able to deal with complaints about Dorset Police staff as this falls outside the remit of the PCC.

If you wish to make the Commissioner aware of an issue, please contact him using the email address or use the link on our contact page.

You will receive an automatic acknowledgement advising that your contact has been received and we endeavour to respond within ten working days. However, if your query is one that requires us to do some research then you should normally expect a response within twenty working days.

Making a complaint

The Chief Constable has responsibility for the conduct of the of Police Officers, Community Support Officers, Special Constables or members of police staff.  Therefore, any complaints received relating to Dorset Police Staff or operational policing will be forwarded to the  Dorset Police Professional Standards Department who will contact you directly.
