Independent Scrutiny Panel Volunteers

We are recruiting for volunteers to be appointed to our Independent Scrutiny Panels.

About Independent Scrutiny Panels 

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) hosts a range of Independent Scrutiny Panels to assist him in scrutinising the work of Dorset Police, including providing them with recommendations for future improvements. These Independent Scrutiny Panels currently cover the following areas; Customer Service, Out of Court Disposals, Stop & Search and Use of Force. A further panel relating to Hate Crime is currently being developed. Further information about the Panels, including meeting summaries, can be found on our Scrutiny Panel webpage.

All volunteers must be 

  • Aged 18+
  • English speaking 
  • UK resident for 3+ years 
  • Currently live or work in Dorset
