Swanage police station front-desk opens to the public
On Friday the 4th August, Swanage joined the list of police stations that have re-opened to the public. Swanage now makes up a trio of front desks that have re-opened over the last few months with both Blandford and Lyme Regis Police Station opening up as part of a pilot project that aims to bring Dorset Police closer to the people it serves.
Swanage will be open on Mondays and Fridays between 9.30am to 3.30pm. Blandford station, is open on a Wednesday and Saturday between 10am and 3:30pm and Lyme Regis is open for two days a week on Tuesday and Thursday between 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner David Sidwick said; “I’m delighted to see local front desks opening up across the county again. It’s a priority of my Police and Crime Plan to make policing more ‘Visible and Connected’ to the people and communities it serves, and this contact option will give back to the public the opportunity to go and speak face-to-face with the police.”
