BUCSU will deliver its message on cyber security and information assurance through holding a training workshop for 60 local charities in Dorset

- priority 2
Charities hold significant amounts of personal data on their systems, which include names, addresses and bank details of their supporters, employees and volunteers, which is why it is more important than ever to ensure that they are complying with the new Government Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and are aware of cyber opportunities as well as its threat landscape. However, it is hard for third sector organisations to devote time and money to data and IT security. Therefore, the BU Cyber Security Unit (BUCSU) will be supporting the local charity sector to help them implement and maintain robust processes to ensure information is managed safely and securely.
BUCSU will deliver its message on cyber security and information assurance through holding a training workshop for initially 60 local charities in Dorset (the primary focus will be on charities who deal with the young and vulnerable).
