Ensbury Park Community Centre
The project is to provide a safe environment for groups and volunteers to participate in activities within the community centre
- Priority 1
- priority 2
The community centre requested funding to purchase a new cctv system. They suffer from anti-social behaviour issues, this includes children and young people gathering at the front of the building, harassment to the groups with young people peering through the windows and continuing to ring the entrance door bell, accessing the building when they are not using the facilities, offensive language towards volunteers, damage to the entrance doors and windows being smashed with possible ‘catapulted missiles’, refuse bin store has been repeatedly damaged, unsuitable items posted through the letter box.
With the CCTV system in place, it will cover the area where young people tend to congregate and the volunteers who lock up the centre in the evening will have the added security to check the external boundary of the centre and feel safer.
