Young Enterprise Community Life

Young Enterprise will be delivering a Community Life Programme

  • Priority 1
  • priority 2

The specific schools this programme will be offered within some of the most deprived communities in the South West. Research and police statistics demonstrate that there is increased levels of anti-social behaviour and crime, as well as perceived crime, in these neighbourhoods. If we can address the younger generation directly and seek their views and explore reasons for this behavior, future generations within the community will benefit, making the community a safer, cleaner and better place to live and work.

Community Life supports the aim that all young people become responsible citizens who make a positive contribution to society. Community Life will be delivered in areas of deprivation where young people require positive role models and intervention opportunities which will raise their aspirations

Community Life will consist of a one day programme within the school, delivered by Young Enterprise staff, volunteers and hopefully local police volunteers. It will include discussion regarding the local area and ways in which the young pupils hope their community can be improved.
