Rachel Young

Violence Reduction & Prevention Team

Rachel joined the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner in April 2024 as the Head of Violence Reduction and Prevention. Rachel's role is to build on well established partnerships reducing serious violence across Dorset.

Rachel has worked within the voluntary and public sector for most of her career, focused on Violence Against Women and Girls and supporting young men at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation in a gang context.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending her time with her young family, walking the dog, camping, and spending time by the sea.
