Violence Reduction & Prevention Team

Karen joined the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner in September 2023 as the Combating Drugs Partnership Manager. Her role is the support the Government’s requirements in the National Harm to Hope 10-year Drugs Strategy. This is to support delivery of the Government’s three main strategic ambitions:

1. Break Supply Chains
2. Deliver a world class treatment and recovery system
3. Achieve a generational shift in the demand for drugs

Prior to this role she worked for Dorset Police for 20 years working in the control room dealing with 101 / 999 calls, in the Victims Bureau for 10 years collaborating with victims of crime and ensuring they are receiving a service online with the Victims Code of Practice and also managed the Adult Out of Court Disposal Team.

Away from work she enjoys sea swimming, spending time with her children and going on walks with their dog.
