The OPCC is recruiting a Contact Officer.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is seeking a Contact Officer to support members of the public who wish to share concerns, provide feedback, or seek assistance on matters relating to policing and community safety.

This rewarding role requires empathy, professionalism, and the ability to manage a varied workload while dealing with sensitive and sometimes complex issues. You will work closely with colleagues and partners to ensure enquiries are managed effectively and that individuals receive a timely and high-quality service.

Do you think you could…

• Communicate confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people, including the Police and Crime Commissioner, members of the public and key stakeholders?
• Keep clear records, manage a varied workload, prioritise enquiries and ensure responses are accurate and provided within agreed timescales?
• Use your initiative and sound judgement to identify urgent or sensitive issues and ensure they are directed to the appropriate people?
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, Dorset Police and other partners to help progress enquiries effectively?
