Over one hundred secondary school pupils from across Dorset held a conference to discuss policing and safety. The conference 'My Life My Choice' was opened by the Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill and the Deputy Chief Constable of Dorset Police, James Vaughan. This event at Bovington Park was delivered in partnership with organisations from the community and voluntary sector.
Young people took part in five workshops spanning cybercrime, safe relationships, mental health, the law and young people legal highs and recreational drugs. The sessions were led by the Dorset Police Safe Schools and Communities Team (SSCT), Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and Shadows.
Alongside the Dorset OPCC, there were also stall from 17 other organisations giving people advice on topics such as drugs, online safety and healthy living.
