The Friends of Roumelia Lane received a grant to undertake an art project in the lane.

Roumelia Lane has experienced a murder and several serious assualts, which has resulted in the lane becoming a 'no go' area. Several agencies have worked together to provide a range of solutions. one of which was a 'Friends of Roumelia Lane' group being established.
The group had previously commissioned two large murals in a nearby car park , which had successfully decreased the incidents of ASB, and wished to extend the project into the lane itself. The final mural was agreed through a seriers of community workshops, and was completed in November 2016.
